US Senior Open begins today right up the road at Cherry Hills Country
Club in Denver. Arnie and Jack played together yesterday in a practice
round and shot 73s. Arnie was paired with the course pro who shot 68
and Jack was paired with an amature who shot 75. Jack said, as he
handed Arnie the money, "I should have got to the 1st tee quicker.
They had picked partners by the time I got there"
Archer and several other seniors are taking the week off because the
USGA does not allow carts at their tournaments and some of the seniors
have trouble walking all 4 days plus the practice rounds.
Its beautiful in Denver this week, mid 80s and low humidity!
