	Hi,
I used to play Hickory every weekend about 8 years ago. They
were having financial problems and opened the course up to
the public. It wasn't very publicized so we'd have the course
virtually to ourselves - on weekends yet!! Haven't played it
since then but here's some info. Btw, there were many small
trees planted and I'm sure it's different now.
You can definitely shoot a low number at Hickory.
	Yardages are best guess...
The greens are alot of fun, fast and true. The ball goes where
you hit it and if you're stroking it, you can make it from anywhere.
The practice green is fun too - you could spend hours on it. The
only weird part is that they buried a few elephants on a few,
	esp. #16.
The first 3 holes run parallel so be aware of the wind.
#1 - par 5, 540 - straight hole, favor the right side. Green is
	deeper than it looks.
#2 - par 4, 360 - tendancy to hit it right, favor the left side.
No surprises, you can see it all from the tee.
#3 - par 4, 360 - DO NOT go right. Aim for the big tree on the
left to open up the green. 2 level green.
#4 - par 4, 400 - Dogleg left, tee shot over water, no real need
to be suckered into cutting the corner. Play it to the fairway.
#5 - par 3, 190 - if you miss it, miss it right. Biggest breaking
	green so far.
#6 - par 5, 560 - Cut the tee shot around the big tree to get to
the right. Even the right rough. It will open up your 2nd shot.

#7 - par 4, 320 - 3 wood straight away, sand wedge in. Green is
deeper than it looks. Don't go over - stream.
	#8 - par 3, 150 - if I remember correctly, a triple tiered green.

#9 - par 4, 420 - hardest hole so far. Tough approach with garbage
	on both sides.
	#10 - par 4, 400 - straight hole, 2 tiered green.
	#11 - par 5, 500 - weird hole. very reachable in 2 but if you don't
it's just luck to avoid several bunkers.
#12 - par 4, 410 - drive up the left side, 2nd over water (not in
play unless you scab your tee shot).
#13 - par 4, 350 - stream is reachable. Lay up with your 190 yd club.
Cute wedge shot in over water.
#14 - par 4, 390 - smack it over the tree in front of you. Favor the
right side since the other tree on the left can block approach.
#15 - par 3, 140 - big bunkers in front of not deep green. Inhale
and enjoy the neighboring pig farm...
#16 - par 5, 540 - reachable in 2 big hits. Straight away. Putt will
be determined by how many elephants you need to go over.
	#17 - par 3, 180 - uphill, deep green.
	#18 - par 4, 440 - hope you don't need a par. Toughest hole on the
course. Tee shot downhill, approach shot to elevated green protected
	by big bunkers.
	Enjoy,
	Tom
