1676.1 | Teaching Pro | ASDS::ELLIOTT | | Tue Apr 20 1993 22:09 | 13 |
| My husband, Michael Elliott, is an excellent pro. I'm not just
saying that because he is my husband. He taught me to play starting
last year and I had a 42 in December. I've been in the low 90's and
I owe it all to him. He has people coming from 2 hours to take lessons
from him. He will be trying out for the PGA tour this year after a
very successful winter season in Florida.
The only problem is that he teaches in Sterling. Is that too far
out of the way for you?
If you want any other information, let me know.

If your still looking for a pro in So. NH you might want to call
Ponemah Green in Amherst NH #672-4732 and ask for Matt he is with
Exceller Programs and is here for the golf season. They are offering
a 10% discount for Digital employees.
Hope this helps!

1676.3 | What's a one-hour private lesson cost? | EPIK::DEFELICE | | Wed Apr 28 1993 17:24 | 11 |
| Thanks for the info. but I have found someone who works very well for
me. I did call Ponemah and Amherst CC earlier and left 3 detailed
messages for Ted Bishop who is the pro there. I was a bit ticked when
he never returned my calls.
Also, Ponemah is asking $48 for a 1 hour private. My lessons have
cost me CONSIDERABLY less than that and have helped greatly, although I
would have paid a much higher price to solve my problem. I'm sure
prices vary a great deal but wondered what the average might me.
Anyone have any ideas?

Would you care to share with us who you found? Or is that too much
free advertising for this notes file?
Thanks in advance.

1676.6 | Help on beginner recommendations | CHRLIE::HUSTON | | Tue Jun 01 1993 16:18 | 25 |

I am thinking of giving a present of golf lessons to my wife, she
has played, but has alot of problems getting the ball in the
air.
The lesson would have to be in S. NH and the instructor would have
to be patient and not expect miracles. Someone who understands the
problems of a beginer.
Can anyone recommend anyone from teh following, keep in mind that
this is for a beginner who simply wants to consistently get the
ball in the air and hit drives around 75-100 yds.
Anyone ever use someone from:
Green Meadows (course or range)
Overlook
Passaconoway
Amherst
Ponehma (sorry but $48 is steep)
Buckmeadow
Any other range/course withing 30 minutes or so of Nashua

1676.7 | Try Monique at Green Meadow | DATABS::PAL | Paul Lemaire, DEC Object/DB | Wed Jun 02 1993 13:51 | 8 |
| Bob,
Green Meadow has a woman teacher on their staff, Monique Lemaire.
Aside from the fact that she is my second cousin, I think you will find
that she fits your requirements to a tee. I have played golf with her;
her game is built on sound fundamentals and consistency and she teaches
the same way.
