| No problem in Florida, $229 for graphite @ $150 for steel. Most every
Golf shop chain carries plenty.

| Make sure you get a strong enough shaft, if you get graphite. I hit
standard "S" flex woods, and the "Firm" Big Bertha felt lousy. The
"Strong" Big Bertha is better.

1595.3 | too many use stiff shafts and shouldn't..!! | TRLIAN::GORDON | | Mon Sep 21 1992 12:02 | 6 |
| re: .2
doesn't that depend on your swing????
someone who swing slow with lots of tempo will be leaving "S"
shafts right all the time...!!!! IMHO

1595.4 | Try the clone, you'll like it! | UNYEM::HOVER | Bob Hover, UNY Sales | Mon Sep 21 1992 14:24 | 13 |
| Not sure where to purchase a Big Bertha, but you might try a clone. I
am using a Big Boy with the shaft that Chi Chi is using on the Seniors
Tour.
I can see no difference in the clubs, as I have used a Big Bertha a
number of times. The cost is about $130 and the looks are better also.
Silver head and red and dark grey shaft.
Try Bob Drew 716-377-3573, he ships all over the U.S., not sure if
outside of U.S.

| I meant that when an individual seeks to match the Bertha with what
he's using now, be aware that what the manufacturer considers "stiff"
isn't very stiff. You have to know what you like, then find the
correlative shaft in the Bertha - whether you use "R," "S," - whatever.
I'm not telling people what shaft to get, only reminding them that
Callaway shafts run a little weak...
