1593.1 | Atlanta | DBSALF::QUINN | Crying? There's no crying in baseball! | Wed Sep 16 1992 13:39 | 5 |
| I'm sure Atlanta will be a lot cheaper than San Jose. There are many
courses within 1/2 drive from the ALF facility (if you drive fast).

1593.2 | Looks like no golf holiday for me 8^(. | DNEAST::FREEMAN_KEVI | The Squeeky Wheel = Neglect | Mon Oct 12 1992 11:37 | 12 |
| Well, I've just been told that the course is now available in Andover
Ma. from Oct26-Oct30 8^(. Can anyone recommend a good place to go for a
quick nine in the am. or pm. on those days? I'll be staying in Andover
at the Court Yard and attending the class at the Rolling Green. Did a
DIR/TITLE=ANDO and noted the Par Three at the Sheridan (sp), but if
I've time I'd much prefer to play a real course 8^). If anyone is
familiar with any of those hotels, which course would you think to be
the closest? I recall reading mention of Trull Brook in other notes in
here... Anyone in need of a 2nd, 3rd or 4th let me know, I play to a
14 hdcp.

1593.3 | Hickory Hill or Trull Brook | NHASAD::BLAISDELL | Rick, dtn 264-5414 | Mon Oct 12 1992 13:44 | 21 |

Kevin,
Your best bets would be Trull Brook (Tewskbury) or Hickory Hill
(Methuen). Both are nice 18 hole public courses. Haven't played
them this year but have always been in good shape in previous
years. Both are within 10-15 minutes from the Sheraton.
To Trull Brook head north on Rte 93, Take the River Rd exit
heading towards Tewskbury (not Lawrence). Course will be
mumble mumble (may be about 3) miles on the right hand side.
To Hickory, once again head north on 93, go past rte 495
interchange and look for the 110 (Dracut) exit shortly after.
Look for the rte 113 (dracut) sign after going under 93 and
follow 113 for a mile or 2. Look for the Hickory sign on your
left.
Good luck

1593.4 | 2nd for Trull Brook | TRACTR::OSBORNE | | Mon Oct 12 1992 14:40 | 9 |
| Kevin, I can second Rick's suggestions. Trull Brook, just played last
week, was in great shape. They just aireated the front nine plus the
eighteenth but they still putted true. The course in very hilly but
walkable. I did so I think anyone could. Shot an 85 and had never
played the course before.
Stuart
P.S. The course is 4+ miles from the 93 exit.
