I spent a couple of days last week at Stratton, Vermont and they had
a large variety of hats, I bought one. Maybe this will motivate you
to take a day or two off! I saw the same type I bought at Stow
Acres, but they only have that one model. The nice thing about them
is that instead of having the traditional non-absorbent,
make-you-sweat satin-like fabric inside the rim of the hat, they have
an elastic "towel-like" fabric. At Stow the hat is about $19.
BTW, the three 9 hole courses (Lake, Forest, Mountain) they have are
in great shape, with some great holes and very fast greens. (This
week they have an LPGA tourney). A bit expensive tough. $55 for 18
if you are staying in one of their condo complexes. I think it was
$65 for non-guests.

| The two hats I have have the towel-like stretch fabric, which is nice
because it also holds on the head better. Thanks, my hubby and I
were thinking of Stratton at some point and went to Bethel Inn instead
a few weeks ago. Nice, but would not go back again. No evening life.

1557.7 | Like to looks of the Chi Chi Hat but not the fit. | DNEAST::FREEMAN_KEVI | The Squeeky Wheel = Neglect | Thu Aug 06 1992 13:28 | 8 |
| I'd like to purchase one as well but for the most part the ones I've
tried on have an indentation on the top and hinders me from cocking it
up when I'm ready to hit. I find the brims too distracting so I don't
typically wear any hat for that reason but I'm playing so much now that
I probably should. Has anyone come across a brand that doesn't have
the indentations but still has a character of the Chi Chi hat?
