| Wentworth by the Sea is about 30 minutes north....and a very pretty
course. It's not all that long, and some of the holes are kinda funky
(one is a tight par 5 (I think) that has these huge 'moguls' all down
the fairway)......but I enjoyed playing it. I played well that
day..I'm a 15 Hdcp., and shot an 81.....thus, the course is scenic and
beatable!!!

Sagamore is a par 71 (35/36), 5822 yds from the whites, pretty wide
open on the front and kinda tight on the back, its in good shape for
a course that uses no chemicals (one of the few around), greens are
slow compared to most places and there is no rough. fees are $23, there
are no power carts available and tee times can be made 7 days in
advance. ph# 603-964-5341
Pease (as in Air Force Base) is about 10 minutes further up the
road and is a very nice course, I think it is also a par 71 but there
is rough and out-of-bounds to contend with, greens are fast but fair,
fees are $20 and tee times can be made 3 days in advance.
I've played Sagamore for years but now that Pease is open to the public
it gets my vote.
Others to try are East Kingston near the Seabrook dogtrack (rt107?)
Exeter Country Club (9 holes) I've heard its in nice shape and 1 more
in Greenland but the name escapes me right now.
