Location: - Sky Meadow Golf Course (Nashua, NH)
Format: - 2 person scramble

Requirements: - At least one player must be a Digital employee,
at time of registration.
- First 50 teams to confirm are in
- Attire: no jeans, no shorts above mid-thigh, shirts
must have collars

TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND RULES:
Format: Two player scramble
1) Men will play from the "long" white markers
Women will play from the "long" red markers
2) Order of hitting is by team that wins honors from the previous
hole. 1st tee, flip a coin or tee.
3) All USGA rules apply with the following modifications:
a) Each player's drive must be used a minimum of 6 times.
b) Ball may be marked, anywhere except hazards, and lifted,
cleaned, and placed, within one club length of its
original position, no closer to the hole.
c) Ball must be placed in the same "cut" of the course as
its original position (ie...ball lying in rough, both
players must hit from rough)
d) If selected ball is in the bunker, second player may rake
bunker prior to dropping ball.
4) Tie breaker...chip off and scramble into the cup on #9
5) Rules to be interpreted by Dave Costenbater, pro at Skymeadow
PRIZE LISTINGS:
- Low Gross....Womens Team
- Low Gross....Men Team
- Low Gross....Mixed Team
- Other Prizes (ie: closest to the pin, long drive, etc.)

- From Massachusetts
- Rte 3 North to Exit 1 in NH.
- Take left at the end of exit
- about 1 mile on left is SkyMeadow
- From NH
- Rte 3 South to Exit 1 in NH.
- Take a right at the of the exit

What's the rational for having the "each player's drive must be used
a minimum of 6 times" rule? It seems too artificial.

| By definition, the minimum number of drives per person is a number
between 0 and 9. As the number approaches 9, more strategy is
involved. 6 drives per person is fair compromise of strategy vs brute
strength.
FYI.......
At the outset of organizing this tournament, I said that, in order to
minimize the time required to organize CCIV, that I would make the
rule, communicate them, and cordially invited those people who want to
play, to play. I can't afford the time to debate rules....I'm sure you
understand.
Hope you can make it....it will be fun!
