I do hope you all are interesting in information on tournaments
beginning
this year either in Europe or abroad. I have been reading the
golf notes for a long time and I must admit, I like the way
you ignor European golf events, although US play and sometimes
win.

| How about a recap on yesterday's Honday by someone lucky enough to see
the end. The last I saw Freddie had driven in the water and had hit
another and was safely on in 4 - was that 15th or 16th hole? Corey
Pavin and ? Brooks seemed to have the edge at that point.
This is awful of me to say but after having stumbled onto the Celtics
in overtime and then hearing "Sorry, the ice skating has been canceled
and to fill in the time we will be expanding our golf coverage" just
warmed the old cockles.

| Pavin won on the second playoff hole, rolled in a birdie from 18-20 ft.
He had holed a wedge for an eagle on 18 to move one ahead. I mean
holed it, on the fly. Freddie missed his eagle, stopping inside a
foot, made the birdie and tied.

Boom Boom hit the wedge into 18. Pavin hit 8 iron from 136 yds
into the hole.
This was Couples' tournament. He came back but couldn't recover
from the bogey/double bogey on the back nine.

| Thanks for the info on the finish. The station I watched Saturday,
carried an A's- Giants pre-season game on Sunday. Should have been
the other way, on Saturday the Giants pitchers where knocking the
A's down left and right.
