    I used this file and So Cal Dandy to help a customer with some
    suggestions for his Christmas Holiday in Palm Springs.  He sent the
    following back to me, which I think may be valuable to all who want to
    play in PS.
    
    "Here are several useful numbers to try when planning a trip to the
    Palm Springs area to play golf:
    
    STANDBY GOLF  -- 619-321-2663
    	This number is answered from 6am to 10pm seven days a week.  They
    offer 50% discounted tee times to a variety of area courses.  Every
    day, area courses (private, semi-private, and public) give STANDBY GOLF
    their open tee times in hopes of filling them.  Since it varies from
    day to day as to the times available, the courses, and the number of
    openings, you never know what might come available.  This service is
    perfect for the single or twosome who is ready to try their luck and
    save 50% on greens fees.
    
    DESERT GOLF RESERVATIONS -- 619-341-2662
    	I have not tried this one, but it is one digit away from STANDBY
    GOLF, so I would assume it is run by the same people.
