I recently bought a copy the "1991 Link to the Links Golfers
Handbook." The book listed all of the public and semi-private
golf courses in Massachusetts, listing greens fees, yardage, par,
slope, and number of holes for each golf course. The handbook
also had a section of jokes, golf rules and etiquette, and tips
on how to buy the right equipment. I bought my copy at Spags
but you can get it through the mail as well. It seemed to
cover all the courses I know of and a few nearby that I hadn't
even heard of (it lists 177 in Massachusets).
The book lists course location and directions, and a map for
the courses in the state. If you're interested, a number in the
book said to call 1-800-783-0066 for ordering information.
