1269.0. "Instructional Videos" by XCUSME::FORISTALL () Fri Jun 07 1991 15:56

Can anyone recommend a good video to rent/buy for instructional
purposes? I'm sure there must be many on the market and was looking for
some advice on the good ones.

    Regards,

I recommend you get "Dorf on Golf". Not to instructional, but it does
tend to put things into perspective, which is often more valuable than
all of the other helpful hints. Remember that each video teaches a
particular approach or school of thought. You need to be prepared to
    become either :

A disciple of the process and trash all others or

Knowledgeable and comfortable with mixing and matching to fit.

There are as many swing mechanics as there are golf balls. All are
    right, depending on the match.

Have fun...Dorf for Captain of the Ryder Cup.

    Ed,

I recommend Nicklaus' "Golf My Way." Except for disagreeing with him
about playing all shots of the left heel, I think he explains how the
game should be played better than anybody.

A year later, and my response is Greg Norman's instructional video.

Has anyone tried the videos by a guy named Bob Mann? I saw an add on
T.V. and his methods made a lot of sense to me. Any input would be
    appreciated.

    Thanks
