Groton Recreation is sponsoring a "Best-Ball" Scramble on Friday 14 June
commencing at 8:00AM at the Groton Country Club.  This is intended to be 
more than "just another fund-raiser".  

The $75 fee includes:
	
	Coffee and Donuts
	18 Holes of Golf
	Golf Cart
	Barbarque Lunch 
		w/no-host bar
	Complimentary Golf Shirt
	Chance to win $250 in Pro-Shop credits
	Door Prizes
	Use of other Club facilities
	
	NOTE: Members may deduct $20 from the entry fee.

Special prizes for longest drive, longest putt, and closest to the pin.

For those really anxious to help out there are various levels of 
sponsorships available.

A short footnote:

Town meeting has passed a re-zoning for the Country Club that will simplify 
getting a "19th-Hole" operational.  As I understand it, the old pro-shop 
now has a bar in the final stages of construction and there will be an
area with tables and chairs for relaxing and sharing golf-stories and a 
brew with your friends.

If you are looking for some fun and have nothing to do this Saturday, contact David Mountain, Recreation Director @(508)448-9493 ASAP. Coffee & Donuts @7:30, Start @8:00 Outdoor Barbarque in the pavilion after the scramble. Cost: $55.00 for non-members ($45 for full-golf members) Includes: 18-holes of golf, Cart, Hat, Lunch, opportunity to win prizes.
