I grew up in westboro, but didn't play golf when Indian Meadows
was still open. I believe that when it closed a lot of the
land was sold of and houses were put up. They probably had a
lot of redesigning to do to put the course back in so I wouldn't
expect it to look like it did years ago.

| Hi,
It was first a wonderful 18 hole course, co-owned by Babe Parilli(?)
who was then the Patriots quarterback. Very well kept and outfitted!
They then ran into financial problems or got "muscled" out of business
by the RT 9 "mafia". The first action was to open a car dealership at
the RT 9 main entrance and block club entry there. Then it got more
clever until it finally got into A. J.'s hands and houses began to go
up.Just a few years ago A.J. was going to re-build the course until his
chapter 11 problems surfaced. He had even hired a full-time course
designer to work on the four courses he had control of in those days.
There are only 9 holes now and few if any are from the original course
that we loved and played in the mid to late 1970s.

| At one time, Indian Meadows was a fine 18 course that had as a co-owner
Babe Parilli of football fame. The layout was great, there was a large
pool and many large functions were held there.
Over the years, the owners fell out of favor with the RT9 "mafia" and
loans were being called in. They even put a car dealership on the
entrance road to the RT 9 part of the entry. This caused the owners to
go belly-up.
Later, the course started getting carved up and homes were being built
there by A.J. Lane. The course went to 9 holes and then started to go
down hill. The pool was never maintained and is "lost" now. The dining
hall went from one restaurant name to another.
A.J. then began to build the course back up and include it as part of
his Fountainhead Apartment complex. He then filed for Chapter 11 and
work stopped. He may still own it, but it is not the layout of old!
There are alot of courses for sale and the cost to maintain or renovate
a course would be very high. I would not think that this one will be
very nice to play or in any reasonable condition this year. It looks
rather "ratty" right now.
Time and a few rounds will allow me to confirm my feelings.
The worst golf course is better than the best office building!
