Hello all you golfers,
I have previously placed this note in the Bruins and Hockey
notes conferences and am just getting around to placing it here. This
tournament is a charity event, but we combine a Boston Bruins breakup
party with it. Samoset Resort is right on the Ocean in Rockport Maine.
If you are interested in playing in this tournament, please contact me
as soon as possible, as I am bringing registrations up next Thursday.
Sorry for the short notice, but my 'real' job has kept me from finding
the time to find the Golf notes conference.

On June 1-2, 1991 The American Heart Association and the Samoset Resort
in Rockport Maine will be hosting the 3rd Annual Celebrity Golf
Tournament.
Many of the Boston Bruins Alumni, and the present Boston Bruins will
be on hand for this event. While we can commit the names of John Bucyk,
Brad Park, Johnny "Pie" McKenzie, Fred Ahern, Dick Lamby, Gord Kluzak,
Bobby Carpenter, and Andy Brickley, it is hard to say how many of the
other Bruins will be able to make it. This is the end of the year Bruins
break-up celebration. Depending on how far the Bruins go in the playoffs
determines how many players will still be 'around' come June 1.
Saturday PM - Celebrity and Guest Check-in, registration
June 1 PM - Celebrity practice round
6:00 pm - Barbecue - Knox County Ballroom
7:30 pm - Auction - Knox County Ballroom
9:00 pm - Las Vegas Night - Tennis Courts *
* Past and present Boston Bruins will be working the tables for the Vegas Night.
Sunday 8:00 am - Golf Tournament registration
June 2 9:00 am - Shot Gun (Best Ball) Start
- Box lunch provided
2:00 pm - Awards presentation/party - Penobscot Bay Room
Plan A - Includes the barbecue, admission to the auction and Las Vegas Night,
entry into the tournament, lunch, and post tournament reception.
Cost: $125.00
Deadline: May 10, 1991
Plan B - Includes the barbecue, admission to the auction and Las Vegas Night,
Cost: $25.00
Deadline: May 24, 1991
ROOMS - A special rate of $99.00 single and $109.00 double occupancy (plus 7%
lodging tax) has been reserved for the event and will be available
until May 10, 1991. Reservations must be made directly to the hotel.
Checks are made payable directly to the American Heart Association and are tax-
deductable. Please join us for this worthwhile event.

| Samoset is a beautiful course, many holes are right along the
coast. It's short, but challenging and alot of fun.
