1221.0. "vms based scoring?" by TILTS::VANDERPOT () Wed May 01 1991 12:14

Well, I have arrived in Tempe. After living in hotels
for the last couple of months it is nice to be in
one location for more than a couple of weeks. I have
spent the last couple of months going to school and
at customer sites. But I do admit that spending two
weeks in Las Vegas was nice, even thou I had to work.

There is a new league forming here in Tempe and I was
wondering if there is any software available that runs on
vms that mnay be used to keep track of our scores. If
you know of any please send me mail at tilts::vanderpot.
    Thank you very much.

I've played a couple of the courses here and believe that
after living in New England for the last 12 years that I
have gone to golf heaven, but I will miss a lot of the courses
that I have grown to love and hate.

Tempe as in TEMPErature. Just wait until you smack a 100compression
bal on one of those 110 degree days. This will make you forget about
the mosquitos, bogs, huge leaves hiding your ball, sweeping snow away
from your putt line and the gravel that resides in most sand traps.

You must ry Stonecreek in North Phoenix and Ocotillo in Chandler. So
many courses and just one of you. There is a group in Tempe, check
with Joe Logan, that started some time back with a goal of playing a
round on every course in Phoenix...private and public. Great group
    with priorities in proper perspective.

SoCalDandy who could easily convert to Tempeism..

I played Ocotillo a couple of days ago, the Foothills last
Sunday and TPC during the house hunting trip last February.

I agree, come next November... I'll be teeing it up...

But winter prices in Sun Valley are expensive...

when I played Ocotillo this week it cost $15 + TAX OUCH... must be in
    Mass....

I walked the course and we got in 18 in 3 1/2 hours...

If you come to Phoenix let me know in advance and I will send
    some information.

1221.3Handicap System available in ChicagoSALPLN::HADACTue May 28 1991 18:1813
I'm president of the DEC Golf League in Chicago. I have a VMS based
golf handicap & Match calculator system that we use for our league.
It uses VMS Basic and is easily convertable to establish upto 30
    teams of 2.

Send me some info on where to send it and I'll gladly send it
along !! We're currently trying to update the system to include
    slope.

Hit'm straight and long in the desert or you'll lose alot of balls
in the brush because of rattlers.

    Regards,
