1206.0. "PHONE #'S FOR NO-NAME GOLF CLUBS." by DNEAST::LACHANCE_DWA () Tue Apr 09 1991 21:31

I am looking to buy a new set of golf clubs as my set is ready for the
trash can. I am probably considered an average player with no delusions
for grandure. I can't afford these great clubs I've been reading about
in these notes files and although I would love to own a set of pings or
taylor made or many of the others mentioned I feel my best chance for a
reasonably good set is to buy a no-name brand that immitates the design
of one of the good designs of the name brands. Please could someone
in this notes file post a couple of phone #'s or address's so that I can
get a catalogue or contact a factory outlet or otherwise contact
someone to purchase a relatively inexpensive set of clubs.
I was told that somewhere in west Georgia there was a place that made
noname immitations of the better clubs and made them to your
    measurements and specifications but I couldn't get a phone # and havn't
been able to locate the company. If anyone knows of this company and
it's phone number please write it in this file or send it to me via
mail. I appretiate any help in where to locate inexpensive good golf
    clubs.

Thanks in advance for any help

Give Gene Kelley a call at 603 895-0115. He's an ex-noter who is an
excellent club repairman and also can build you a super set of "Clones"
    very reasonably.
He does all my repair work, and I'm REAL fussy - I used to do repair
work myself, both at home and while I was an Assistant Pro many years
    ago.

FYI.....I used Staffs for the last 10 years...last year I switched
to a set of Hogan Edge look-alike...I made...my handicap went from a
    12 to a 6.

    Give me a call.
