Speaking about the Doral Open, anyone have any reports yet
as to the outcome ? I know yesterday was postponed. Do they
play a full 18 again ar just pick up where they left off when
the storm hit.

Those still playing begin where the marked prior to the postponement.
It started at 6 am Pacific Coast Time, haven't heard what happened.
Nicklaus and Strange were closing in on Bean and Cochran.

Re: .3 > Rocco Mediate beat Curtis in a playoff. 2nd hole, I beleive. Does anyone remember the Saturday round at the Tournament Players Championship that was rained delayed? Instead of seeing the leaders you saw the rest of the field. I remember it well because it was sort of the "Rocco Mediate" show. He was having a horrible day, and was hacking it around the course. It hard to hear his name without laughing. I'm glad he turned out to be a better player than that one round! Larry

I remember, somewhere in the mid 80's is where he finished. Look like
an amateur in a pro-am. I was sure he was a catcher for the Pirates or
a defenseman for the Bruins. Now he is kicking tail and posting bail.

Pretty amazing finish in the 95 Doral this year, with Faldo putting his drive in the water at 18, comming away with a bogey, all Norman had to do was par for a playoff. He pull-hooked his approach outa the rough, and hit the lake (gutted it). made a great put for bogey. While Jake, who looked like he could'nt miss a putt if he tried all the sudden yipped two 4/5 footers, to fall two strokes back, then at 18 with everyone bogeying, burned the edge from *70* feet to miss a chance at a playoff. Must say that Faldo's cut 3-wood from 235 to about 20 feet was very impressive, he damn near made par on 18, and was luckey to back into the win outright, without a playoff. Turk
