Hi all you golfers,
Does any one out there have any info on the
the History of St Andrews.
I have to do a presentation on a non work
related subject.

This is kind of vague, but there was a "coffee table" pictorial/text
type of book published in the last year or so which specifically
addresses The Old Course at St. Andrews. The Golf Shop in the financial
district of Boston may have it. Also, you could contact "The Classics
of Golf" in Norwalk, Ct. I know Herbert Warren Wind did an article in
one of his books on Bobby Jones return to St. Andrews which had a lot
of data. If you looked up Old Tom Morris, Young Tom Morris, Alan
Robertson and perhaps Laurie Auchterlonie you'd getmore info. Robert
Browning's "The History of Golf" from the Classics of Golf publishers
is sure to have material on St. Andrews. As a last resort, you could
contact The Royal and Ancient golf Headquarters in St. Andrews.

Nevada Bobs had some books which included some golf history. Royal
Bookstores and Barnes and Noble would have something, I am sure.
