I thought that a good GOLF topic for this off-season might be 

                      COURSE RATINGS

This information could be useful to all of us, whenever we are in the 
process of playing in a strange course.

If I may, I like uo suggest the following format:

- Area/states alphabetically 
- Name of course(s) alphabetically within each area
- Name of town/city
- Course distance and rating for 
          - Championship tees (usually blue)
          - Men's regular tees (usually white)
          - Woman's tees (usually red)

	Now, if some compute type guru could create a database with all this information, grant us all access to it, we could extract courses by State, slope, alpha, etc, etc. Any volunteers ? Jim

	I like this idea with one exception: If I'm traveling and would like info about a course in the area, I can usually get course names, par and rating etc from the yellow pages. What I'd like to see is a geographical listing that includes comments and recommendations to help me decide which course to play. Ratings etc don't tell me anything about the condition, beauty, difficulty and enjoyment a course offers. -Joe

The golf club includes pro shop, beverage facility, Ralph W. Miller Memorial Golf Library and the men's and women's locker rooms with saunas, jacuzzis, billiards and health spa. The Dwight D. Eisenhower course opened on November, 1979 with tough rough (4-6 in.) 108 traps, lakes, and really large undulated greens. They have 5 tees; black, blue, white, gold and red. The black tee is rated at 75.8 and was the second hardest course in the United States and onlly players allowed to use it are with valid handicap of 7 or less. There are several video cameras placed on the course and monitored in the pro shop. I played from blue tee and had one of my best golfing and shot 80 (my HDCP at the time was 4) The green was PERFECT, true and smoooooth but fast as putting on marble.

The golf club includes pro shop, beverage facility, Ralph W. Miller Memorial Golf Library and the men's and women's locker rooms with saunas, jacuzzis, billiards and health spa. The Dwight D. Eisenhower course opened on November, 1979 with tough rough (4-6 in.) 108 traps, lakes, and really large undulated greens. They have 5 tees; black, blue, white, gold and red. The black tee is rated at 75.8 and was the second hardest course in the United States and onlly players allowed to use it are with valid handicap of 7 or less. There are several video cameras placed on the course and monitored in the pro shop. I played from blue tee and had one of my best golfing and shot 80 (my HDCP at the time was 4) The green was PERFECT, true and smoooooth but fast as putting on marble.
