Well, if Joe Morgan had Dennis Ekersley, he also would be a PC
genius with a$ 100 hair style and his cutsie A's jacket.
Plus a lawyer!! how bad can you get.
They are a better team, BUT the sox hit.199 as a team.
And except for Stuart and Ek, they ain't flame throwers!
We have a tennis player batting third, which is the other problem!

| Ahhh, bring back Joe Rudi and Rollie Fingers. The new "A's" are
babies. LaRussa does have some class, though and I like Dave Stewart if
he'd only stop whining and choose his "companions" more carefully...
Hey, it's o.k. Dave, I mean, you could have proposed to her or
somethin'. He is a real good guy in the community, from what I hear
although that alone will not get him (or me) on Augusta National...

| re:.12 Why is it a "shocker to A's fans..." The Dodgers only let them
win one game in 1988. And, Bob Welsh won 27 - is the American League
that much weaker? The A's have only been able to handle the Giant S,
which were an amazement and with the quake, who knows what was going
on.

| Regarding .12 I only have two words SOUR GRAPES. Your stating to sound
like the A's. Own up to the fact the you got your butts handed to you.
When the Sox lost to the favored A's you did't hear cheap excuses. But
when the favored (to Sweep) A's lose to the underdogs (2 out of the
last three years a la Kirt Gibson) what do we hear from you and your
team Cheap Excuses. If this is how fans act supporting a winner, I
hope the Sox never win.

| I seem to remember a little bit of whining when good ol' B.Buckner had
to look between his legs for a routine ground ball. But regardless
you're right. The A's got their #$# kicked. So let's forget about
baseball until next year. It's time to hit the little white ball. I
guess for those of you back east you're golf season is just about over
too. But for us in California we'll just put on some jeans and a
sweat shirt and continue hacking away, weather permitting.

| I don't know what these "sour grapes" are that you are talking
about in re. 15. I was predicting a sweep after game 1 when I
saw how pathetic the A's looked. There hasn't been a decent WS
in three years because the A's either dominate or they play like
dogmeat. But at least they made it !!!! Oh, by the way, I got
sunburned Saturday while playng 18 ! (cheap shot 8^} )

as the Red Sox did in this year's World Series. So I guess that means that
