Greetings from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
My name is Bruce Comeau and I am a recent new-hire with Digital.
I will be travelling to Boston (Boylston to be exact) on September
23 and will be staying until October 5 for CSST training. I am an avid
golfer with a 7 handicap and I am a member of a private golf club
in Edmonton. I would appreciate it if anyone could suggest a golf
course that I may be able to play on the weekend of Sept. 29 and
30th and maybe an estimate on the green fees.
The tougher the course, the better.
Thanks.

The closest decent one is Wachusett in West Boylston. A Donald Ross
layout, it is wooded and tight. Weekend afternoons are generally less
busy (after 2pm) and green fees are 25-30 $.
If you want to drive 1 hr. 15 min., you can play Crumpin-Fox, which is
the highest rated (in terms of difficulty) course in the state. Call
them too for tee times (413 648-9101), and tell 'em I sent you. I've
been a member for quite a few years. Check the directory here for the
Crumpin-Fox note; we've had a lot of DEC guys go there for punishment.
If I remember correctly, we had a 6 hcp shoot 86 and a 5 hcp shoot 102.

| 1064.2 | Play the FOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!! | RAYBOK::COOPER | MAD HACKER | Wed Aug 29 1990 15:45 | 7 |
As a survivor of Crumpin-Fox and also an out-of-stater
I would reccommend taking the drive to the Fox. We played it
from the blacks (way back !!!!!) and it was the sternest test
I have ever encountered. Also a very scenic course. Well worth
the drive !!!!!!!!!!!!
