1050.0. "Florida Golf Shops and Prices for Mizuno Please!" by HAN01::GAREIS () Wed Aug 15 1990 10:28

    Hi,

    I'm going to spent my hoenymoon in West Palm Beach, Florida, for two
    weeks starting Septermber 3rd.

    As I expect Golf-equipment to be much cheaper in the States than here
    in Europe, I intend to buy some clubs.

    Can someone tell me how much I would have to pay for "MIZUNO WHITE
    FANG" (graphite shafts) Irons and Woods ?
    And where are the best shopw in Florida? Are there any discount shops
    or Outlets?

    Any other tips and hints about West Palm Beach, Florida, Golf or other
    things to do would be very much appreciated!

    Many thanks in advance,
                              Susanne

    Too bad your not going to Jacksonville, there's a golf shop on
    "the coastal highway" in Pointe Vedra near Sawgrass where I picked
    up Titelist Balata 100 's for 20 dollars a dozen,tax included! They are 28 up here
    at Herman's and there always sold out at Nevada Bob's.

    Plus it looked like in general that they were 10 to 15% lower than
    Boston area golf outlets on all items.

    I,m sure you'll find the same all over Florida.

    Have a good time, next time I recomend Sawgrass at Pointe Vedre,
    where you can play ALL Pete Dye courses and then give the game up!

1050.4"Watts is What's"WJOUSM::GLASSWed Aug 22 1990 13:187
    Hi,
    Edwin Watts is still the best prices in the USA from a store!
    While in Orlando this past month, I saw what you want for $799 for
    metals and irons.
    There are some good buys there right now due to the high temps(kind of
    like New England in January situation!).

1050.6How much for DOMINO?BHUNA::JADAMSWed Aug 29 1990 17:3914

    	This looked like the right place to put my note in.

    	I bought a set of Mizuno DOMINO irons a few months ago (3-SW) and I
    was wondering what the price difference is between here (Scotland) and
    the other side of the pond. If someone would please reply in here how much
    they would cost over there I'd be really grateful.

	Thanks in anticipation,

    			   John A.

    	P.S. I'll tell you all later how much I paid, to give you all a laugh.
