Does anyone know of any public courses close to Old Orchard Beach?

I'll be on vacation up there from July 20th - 29th and hope to get
    out a couple of times.

there are two that i know of...
one 9 hole course on rt. 98 (off the top of main street)

there is a second one i saw years ago and i think it runs along the
    ocean...take rt 1 towards portland..you'll come to rt 207 (i think)
at a set of lights and ..take it right..its on the other side of
the bay that OOB sits in..i think its the right at the lights
    by the Dunstan School House..

there is also one in biddeford/saco but i don't know where..someone
just told me that there is one around there..

    good luck

    Shane,

I camp at OOB during the summer. Biddeford/SacoCC is a must. I
don't know the name of the road it is on, but I can give you
directions. From Exit 5 off the turnpike, follow the access road until
you merge with route 1. Right at the merge is the Old Orchard Beach
Campground, the course is directly behind it, (that's were we camp).
Take route one 1/4 mile down to the rotary. At the rotary there is a
7-11 covenience store right in front of you, take the first right off
the rotary, (it's about a 160 deg turn), heading back from where you
just came. the course is less than 1/2 mile down on left, just after
    the underpass.

It's short, but testy. If you go take it in make sure you play all
18 holes, the back nine is quite different from the front nine, you'll
enjoy it. I also may be camping during that time check in with me
before you leave, if you don't have a foresome, my wife and I may be
able to meet you there and have a go round.

I will be up there for the forth week, I will pass along the
particulars if I get a chance.

    Roland
