I just couldn't wait to post the news of this great tourney...
I happened to catch a show on ESPN yesterday morning called
The Lighter Side of Sports (or something close to that). Well,
they had a guy on that won a touney called THE WORST AVID GOLFER.
The tourney was held at the TPC in Florida. To play in the tourney
you had to have a handicap of 36 or higher and play atleast 22
times a year. The winner was Angello Spagnolo he shot a ***257***
in the tourney....!!!! It took 7 hours for his group to play. He
took a 66 on the par 3 with an island green ****27 balls in the
water****.....! They showed film of some of the tourney, it was
incredible...!!! Instead of the conventional closest to the pin
hole, they had FARTHEST FROM THE PIN HOLE....
IF ANY OF YOU FEEL THAT YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH YOUR GAMES,
YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THESE GUYS... YOU WOULD FEEL LIKE YOU ARE
A PRO IN COMPARISON...

Wonderful stuff, isn't it?
I saw this last year, the eventual winner was reduced to putting down
the cart path to reach that island green.

I, too, saw the show on ESPN yesterday morning. I went out
to play 9 holes at Pine Meadow later that morning, and was glad that I
hadn't "visualized" their shots!
