Two suggestions....Quiniaska G.C., and Rocky Ridge. The Ridge
isn't as well kept as Quiniaska but has a fun layout. Enjoy!
It's so much fun to play golf without fighting the crowds.

Try the Kwiniaska Golf Club. It is pretty long and in real good shape
right now. I am a member and would be interested to hear, if you play
there, what you thought of the course. Look out for the par three's on
the back and the fifth hole. Good luck and have fun.

Take the ferry across Lake Champlain to Plattsburg. Just south of
Plattsburg on rt 9 is the 3rd Oldest Golf course in the US (Bluff
Point). Nice course. Very long, 3 par 5's over 550 yds.

| My home course is the CBurlington Country Club. It's an original
Donald Ross design and right now is in very good shape. It's
normally private but is open to the public now for a "walk on"
charge of $35. You can not get a tee time but afternoons
after say 2 it's empty. I don't know what your schedule is like
but I might be persuaded to play along. (Then the cost is $20)

Just a quick note to thank everyone on their suggestions for places to play
near Burlington. Over the weekend I took up Kevin on his offer to play
Burlington Country Club. (I have a weak spot in my heart for Donald Ross
courses.)
I loved the course. The typical Ross design, small greens, (pretty fast too,
though Kevin says they are a lot slower than this summer), the need to play
bump & run, make for a very good test of your skill. Kevin was a great host.
His knowledge of the course and the correct strategy easily saved mE 5-6
strokes. (It could have saved me more if I hit the ball where he told me
to more often.)
An added benefit this time of year is the view. The course is a the top of
a hill overlooking the valley. With the foliage at peak color the scenery
was spectacular.
Thanks again for your recomendations. We will be visiting my sister in law
often while she completes her program at UVM. I plan try your other
recommendations in the future.
