Have any of you veterans ever played at the VA Golf Course located in Bedford, MA. The fees for military retirees are very reasonable and you are allowed up to one guest. Before playing, I was wondering if any of you had ever played this course. Chip

Played at Bedford VA Medical Center today. It's a 9 hole course and pretty well maintained. Open with just a one "water hole". The price is right if you know someone that can play there. $6/8 on weekdays and $7/9 on weekends. Members and military ID card holders can take one guest each. No problems getting a tee time. The fee is for "all you can play". | |||||

This is the veterans topic... Well, I played Lichfield last Friday afternoon. Does the expression " INCOMING !!!!!!!!!!!!! " ring a bell. The course is nice, challenging, and enjoyable. BUT, the fairways are extremely close to each other. It wouldn't be bad if every golfer hit the ball straight like Arnold, but that just don't happen. 14,15 and 16 are very dangerous, I felt like I was in a shooting gallery. It would be a lot of fun if the fairways were a little farther apart. Dave |
