660.1 | MCGREGOR HERITAGE $319 | XANADU::CAMPBELL | It's only a CRIME if you get caught! | Mon Jun 26 1989 11:59 | 9 |
| Hi Mike,
I have a set of MCGREGOR Heritage clubs. 3-SW, 1,3, and 5 metal woods.
I have seen them priced at $209 for the irons, $109 for the woods. So
$318 would buy this set.
There not the best, but definately not the worst.

| Mike,
In answer to your question I found that the prices of clubs in the
U.S to be very cheap compared to the U.K. A rough guide is whatever you
would pay in 's sterling you would be able to pick up for in Dollars
ie; 400 = $400 700 = $700 etc..
A good place to buy the clubs is Nevada Bobs which I believe have
outlets througout the states.
As a point of interest I myself Play with GC 1800 woods and irons
which I am in the processs of selling in favour of Petron Custom made
clubs which work out cheaper than most people think. I am paying 440
for a full set which are made to measure.
I hope this helps you Regards Steve...

660.5 | Dunlop Red Max cheap! | GRANPA::RFAGLEY | | Tue Jan 30 1990 14:31 | 15 |
| A hot tip on a great set of irons...
Austad's is selling Dunlop's Red Max beryllium irons in 3-PW for $149
on a closeout. This model was introduced a few years ago and has
been out of production for about 2 years. The clubheads are very soft,
and have great feel. This is a perimiter weighted club with a rounded
sole. The offset is nearly non-existent. I do caution however, the
durability is limited due to the soft composition of the head. Also, I
have re-shafted my clubs from stock TT-Lite S shafts to Dynamic Gold's
because of a gradual bending of the shafts. (I liked them enough to
improve them!) When first introduced the irons sold for around $400
dollars.

The DCI's are around $375.00 - $430.00. I assume the
DTR's are about the same, maybe a bit lower.
