What are this years hours for the last 2 days of golfing
    on Sat and Sun.

The club house facility is entirely off limits to all people including
club members. The only allowed people are our customers and DEC
employees who are members of the Leaders Forum and are hosting our
customers. On Sunday P.M., when the tourney is over there will be a
chicken Barbque on the driving range for all volunteers. During the
tourney, volunteers will get meal chits redeemable at the concession
stands and cold drinks will be constantly delivered on the course.
In the morning there will be coffee and donuts at the volunteer 2 tent.
The concession tents will be selling beer however volunteers are
encouraged not to partake till their work duty is over - PGA has a
problem with inebriated marshalls etc on the course. Two years ago we
had Chi-Chi come into the tent during the last day buffet feed and
spend almost an hour signing autographs and talking with the
volunteers. Last year he had to fly out immediately after winning
in a special copter. We all have fun to some degree or other and meet
new friends and along the way see some great golf on a course in
    excellent condition.

My personal experience over 4 years of working at the tournament
include a wide experience starting with being a marshall to being a
walking marshall to working in the volunteer tent to becoming the
Volunteer coordinator. I haven't golfed since hs/college but I enjoy
working on the course. I don't usually see a lot of golf, but I enjoy
the new friendships and meeting other DEC employees. Being on the
committee and working on this thing for most of the year can be very
time consuming considering that I have a real DEC job that I must take
care of first(and this job I have takes 60+ hours a week). Being on the
committee has all the frustrations of being a DEC employee.

> What are this years hours for the last 2 days of golfing
> on Sat and Sun.

Volunteers will report at 7:30 a.m. and we are usually done around 3-4
p.m. not withstanding weather(the last 3 years we have had some
thunderstorm/severe weather where we had to temporarily clearthe course
with the volunteers seeking shelter around the clubhouse and in the
    maintenance BArn.

When it is all over and done, we all have some war stories. Some of us
are very tired and glad its over. See you there!

    	Directions to Nashawtuc:

From Rte 2 East take a right at Emerson Hospital in ?Concord?
Follow that road for about 2-3 miles and you'll come to a traffic
light on I believe Rt 27. Anyways, go straight thru and NCC is
mile on the left. You can almost see the course from the intersection.

If coming in on Rte 2 west, there is a farm stand about 1 mile
before Emerson. Last year there was a sign posted at this intersection
noting to take a left for the Classic. This road joins in with the
above directions. Very easy to get to, you can't miss it....

Greenside reporter receives the score slip from the walking
scorer at the completion of the hole and radios it in to headquarters.

    Julie-lynn,

Welcome to Digital Seniors Classic family. My name is Peter Crocitto and
I'm the Volunteer/Operations chairperson. Since this your first year
volunteering I would like to thank you for volunteering, I believe you
will have great time. As a Grrensreporter you will be in heart of the
tournament. You will hear all scores, activities and be one of key
volunteers on the course. It is your job to report all scores that
each pro scores for your hole. A walking scorer will hand you a sheet
which gives you the pro score to report. At which you will radio into
scoring control and report these scores. Also you will have a terminal
which you will also enter these scores, which will update the big
leaderborad on the course. As the tournament starts to get closer on
sunday you will hear what happens to those player before the media or
anyone does. The best part about this position is that it's very easy
to learn and do. We also will have the P.G.A. and Jackie Cooper give
instruction on how to use this equipment. Jackie will available to
answer or help you with any problems that you may have while on the
course. Don't worry we will take good care of you. I also will on the
course and will help anyone who needs it.

Currently there is no lounge where volunteers can go to get inside. We
will work on that for next year, however, I will bring it up and see if
    can do something this year.

I believe you will have a great time in all areas of the golf
tournament. Again thank you for volunteering. Also please rember that
everyone is allow to volunteer. So if you have friends, families or
pets that want to volunteer we can use them.

    Thank Again

I plan to attend the Classic on Friday. Just 2 questions I haven't
been able to find answers for (yet). 1) Is Bob Charles playing
in this year's tourney. If so, what is his tee time? 2) What
is the range for tee times that day?

      Thanks for the info.

Bob Charles is playing I read in this mornings Globe that he was
eliminated on the 17th hole at yesterday's shootout. The tee times
for Friday's round are in the Globe today (I don't have one handy).
You will find them on the agate page. (The one with standings, etc.)

If memory serves me right they said at the marshalls meeting that the
first group will tee off at 7:30.

    Hope that helps. Enjoy yourself.
