What does it mean to be under the ball or over the ball. I am trying to get rid of a slice when I hit driver and 3 wood and occasionally 3 iron. I was reading the May Golf Digest article about Calcavecchia. It read :Notice how I am under the ball in this picture. Can anyone clarify this?

I'm not sure with the details provided, but usually it means that your feet are above or below the ball. An adjustment should be made when taking shots with these lies, as you will slice/hook. Feet above the ball you are going to tend to slice, below you will hook. (Or is it the other way around...) Smitty |
