    My SO keeps talking about buying Hogan Edge Flat lie golf clubs
    or Wilson Staff gooseneck flat lie clubs....HELP...I can't find
    them anywhere. I was hoping to surprise him. Does anyone know where
    they are available?

    check with pro at green meadows...he's on hogan staff and ordered
    me exactly what I wanted a couple of years ago and it only took
    about two weeks....of course there is a great demand for the HOGAN
    EDGE club right now so be prepared to maybe wait longer or pay extra..!!

    For your information, I bought the Wilson Staff Gooseneck irons
    this spring. I purchased them at a Edwin Watts Golf shop here in
    St. Louis. They were asking $415 but I talked them down to $369.
    They also spent considerable time evaluating my swing and determine
    that the LIE needed to be adjusted up 2 degrees. I would be happy
    to answer any questions you might have.

628.8"EDGES GIVE YOU THE EDGE"USMFG::TGLASSThu Jun 01 1989 12:245
    Hi,
    My Island Green pro, Dick Roberge, has a set of Edges.
    You could call him at (803)-650-2186 and get the price,ETC.
    They are nice and most are going to Japan!!!!!

628.9No luck ..but thanks anyway!AKOV11::BECKETTThu Jun 01 1989 17:2910
    Thanks for the tips!

    I called Green Meadows and all their edges are pre-sold...I'd be
    #7 on the waiting list...looking at end of summer!

    I called Island Green and Dick is playing a set of Edges that it
    took him 6 months to get. They seemed real skeptical that I'd see
    them this summer at all even if I ordered them now.

    Oh well...guess we can aim for next year!
628.10EDGES ON THE SHELF WAITING FOR A BUYERVICKI::DEMERSMon Jun 05 1989 15:367
    I JUST PLAYED 2 WEEKS AGO AT BASS RIVER GOLF COURSE DOWN THE CAPE
    THEY HAD A FULL SET OF EDGES BRAND NEW IN THE PRO SHOP NOT YET SOLD
    I DON'T KNOW THE LIE OR THE PRICE BUT I DID SWING THEM THEY ARE
    NICE. I THINK BASS RIVER IS IN DENNIS MASS. GOOD LUCK I HOPE THEY
    ARE WHAT YOU WANT AND STILL AVAILABLE.

     Crumpin-Fox has a set (413 648-9101) in stock. Since they discount
    20% off list, a set of 3-PW would be around $452.00 plus tax. They
    had 2 sets, but guess who is now playing with the other one ? You
    can "stick" the ball on linoleum with these things.
     If you call, tell the folks that Jack Varley referred you.

628.12More unsuccessful tries.AKOV11::BECKETTWed Jun 07 1989 09:5511
    Crumpin Fox (we've played there!...nice!) still has a set but they
    are stiff shaft...he needs...whatever non-stiff shaft is called.

    Bass River didn't have what he wanted either. I think he's eased
    up on the need for flat lie (next to impossible to find, it seems)
    but he claims he can't swing stiff shafted clubs. Maybe he's being
    too picky on what he wants.

    Think I'll buy him a new bag and headcovers and he can live with the
    Prima clubs he presently has until next year when the Hogan Edge's
    will be old hat and probably cheap and plentiful.
628.13You can always have the lie adjusted...MSEE::KELLEYCustom clubs/club repairWed Jun 07 1989 10:015

    RE: .12

    Just as an FYI... The lie on the clubs can be adjusted to a flat
    lie...

    re: .12,.13

    read somewhere that all Hogan clubs are built 2degrees flat anyway
    as their standard so maybe "off the slef" is good enough if this
    is true...have never been able to confirm though...
628.15Re-shaftingOBRIEN::KEVINCustom Clubs & RepairThu Jun 08 1989 13:497
    Also clubs can be reshafted. It's a rather simple matter to remove
    a stiff shaft and replace it with a regular. The grips can be saved
    also.
