>What's your opinion? Should this man be allowed to continue this?
You have no choice here. The freedom of expression guarentees him the
right to do it. It is nothing dirty, pornographic etc about it. He is
showing his opinion. That's what's great about America. I do wonder
how he always has the upfront seats though.

| I've been noticing this guy for years (although I don't recall seeing
him at the Masters). Amazing how he gets from one golf tournament to
another. I even remember seeing him at an occasional basketball game.
I always figured this guy worked for the networks. They send him from
one place to another, line him up behind the golfer (in line with the
camera), focus on his lettering, and adjust the color on his hair.
Lately I've noticed he carries a TV, and keeps an eye on it when he's
on camera. What else is he good for?
His John 3:16 isn't annoying, but his pushy attitude, the way he bumps
in front of people who obviously have been standing at the rope for
hours, is what gets me. It's people like that I can do without!

| The somewhat famous producer for CBS Sports (he can't be too famous
as I forget his name) was asked about his man in an interview.
The producer stated, "I go out of my way to keep this man off camera."
This topic was a real sore spot for him.
I read in a Sports Ill. article that this man received a large
inheritance many years ago. He lives a meager existance and travels
to as many high profile events as he is able to.

| Why doesn't he go somewhere else for a while. Like the lady waving
at the 86 Series against them Mets.. Maybe the bowling circuit..

re: -1
Believe it or not he did show up at the Fire Stone champion ship
one year on the PBA!!!!!!!
CBS did a special on this guy once. Not only does he travel all
over, but he now has a pretty large network of people that go
to all the NFL games.

Like indigestion and gas: he will pass...
But I liked the guy with the wierd hair at the
football games, he was just out for fun and
turned it into some free tickets and cash...

| His name is "Rockin Rollin" if my memory serves me. He has even
appeared at Wimbeldon. CBS can't keep him off camera as hard as
they try. If you notice the cameraman is always changing angles
when he appears in the background. There was some speculation he
got his tickets from the Athletes of America. A religious group
of pro athletes. Some of the golfing members were Mize, Larry Nelson,
Scott Simpson and others. He's shed the wig and now has a group
working for him.

| Maybe he displays John 3:16 so that he can write all these games off
his taxes as a "Business Expense"? :-)

| Perhaps it would be appropriate to quote John 3:16.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.

| I have seen the message displayed at many sporting events. I
don't know if it has been one individual or many different ones.
The only time I found it really annoying was during the World Series
a couple of years ago when "he" was seated in an aisle seat about
four rows up directly behind home plate. The Network sent an usher
down to tell him to cool it, but he still tried to sneak his message
on camera. As previously mentioned, he has a portable TV with him
so he knows when he's on camera.
Those who practice this are within their rights and I admire
the strength of their convictions, however when I tune in a sporting
event it's to watch the event. When I feel the need for a dose of
religion, I have cable and am quite capable of locating the PTL
Club.

.8 is pretty close. I talked with "Rockin Roland" at the Masters two
years ago. I even got on TV a couple of times just talkin' with him.
"Jesus is the Rock and I am Roland" is about all he says. He doesn't
tell much about where he gets his tickets but he told me he goes to
most sporting events the day of the event without tickets. He alluded
to some sort of group similar to the Atheletes of America but I am not
sure if it is them or not. I know one thing. The elitists who are "The
Augusta National" took nota as to his ticket number ( which are all
recorded as to who owns them ) and I'm sure someone is not held to high
in Augusta. They don't like him, he doesn't fit "The Image".
