| There is a resort in North Woodstock NH called Jack O'Lantern (yes,
as in pumpkin). I have been going up there for several years now
for a four day weekend in late June.
They offer a complete package of room, food (breakfast and dinner),
and golf for one lump sum. The amount varies depending on the
accomodations you choose. You can stay in a motel unit, cabin, or
a condominium suite.
I don't have the brochure with me, but as a for-instance, for 4
to 6 people staying in a condominium (with all the luxuries of home,
including kitchen, two bathrooms, three bedrooms, washer/dryer,
etc.), from Thursday after 3pm to Sunday (checkout at 11, but can
golf all day if you like), 3 breakfasts and dinners and all golf
(with privilege of first-choice tee-times over public), the price
is $255 per person. Of course if you choose to stay in a cabin (no
kitchen facilities) or motel, the cost is less.
18-hole course, (9 holes new last year); resort also offers indoor
and outdoor pools, jacuzzi and sauna, tennis courts, and is just
a few miles from the White Mountains.
For four days of golf and accomodations and meals included, I think
its a good deal.

| Oh, they finished the back 9? We were there in June last year and
there were a couple holes still unfinished. Took a tour of the
condos (we stayed in a cabin); nice accomodations. They were trying
to sell us a half-year.
It is convenient to 93, about 5 miles south of the west end of the
Kancamagus Hwy -- we've stayed and played there several times over
the past few years.

and for SUMMERTIMES (July 14-Sept. 4); each goes up slightly over
the previous schedule. There is also a price schedule for Fall (Sept.
4 - Oct 15). If anyone is interested in the other rates, let me
know.

| Just called the Jack O'Lantern about the condo rate; the weekly figure had
me confused. The spring rate (5/19 - 6/16) of $1150 is for the unit only,
you pay extra for golf/meals. Split 2 or 3 ways, it's not so bad, I guess.
We saw the units last year - nice accomodations. The ones which were built
then sat along the first fairway/green.

| I received the 1990 price schedule for Jack O'Lantern. The prices
are pretty much the same as for last year; in some cases, the prices
are LOWER (by a couple of dollars).
They changed their seasons a bit though. I don't recall the specifics;
I think the early summer seasons ends one week earlier than it did
last year.
If anyone wants to know more, let me know. I can either post more
information here or send you a copy of the new brochure/schedule.

| Ok, Gene. Here's the latest info from the Spring, Summer, Fall 1990
brochure.
Course note: 18-hole, 5800 yard, par 70; located along the
Pemigewasset River. Daily starting time and free
golf is included _for each night's stay_.
Package plans: 2, 3, 4, and 5 night package rates. Includes:
- Choice of lodging
- Dinner ($16.50 allowance)
- Breakfast ($6.50 allowance)
- Use of all facilities (indoor and outdoor pools,
sauna, jacuzzi, tennis)
* 7% state tax added to all statements
* Apply an additional 5% discount on Sunday to Friday
stays.
* Nongolfer, deduct $10 per day from adult rates
Accommodations: All units have private baths, fully carpeted, color/cable tv
Cottages - Single cottages with 1 and 2 bedrooms
with twin, double, or queen-sized beds;
- Duplex cottages, each unit with 2 double beds
Air conditioned motel units
Vacation Homes - some situated adjacent to first fairway
Can be occupied as follows:
MASTER ROOM: King-size bed, whirlpool bath, porch
SUITES: - For a couple or a family
- 2 bedrooms, 1 queen-sized bed, 2 twin beds
