488.0. "Need Info On Courses In Boca Raton" by BIMINI::FOX () Wed Jan 04 1989 10:26

I was wondering if anyone can give me information on some good golf
courses in the Boca Raton area. I am going down to the area for
9 days Jan 23-31 to meet my old college buddies and play 18-36 holes
a day.

We have a foursome and two cars so we can go almost anywhere. I
would like to play some real good courses towards the end of our
stay so cost is not that important but also we would like to find
some inexpensive courses for the start of the week.

I can't wait I have been going through withdrawal and my pings are
getting rusty. Also my wife is complaining that my golf shoes rip
the sheets at night.

Also does anyone know of good discount golf outlets we should visit??

Not in Boca, but a little bit up north ( hour), December's Golf
Digest has an article on West Palm Beach courses, mainly Cypress on
the WPB Polo and Golf Club, the PGA, and the Breakers. It also lists
several other ones (with phone numbers) in that area.

P.S. The Digital Latin America/Caribean Region office is in Boca. I
know a couple of people there but they aren't golfers.

Isn't Doral near Ft. Lauderdale or even just outside the Holywood
Florida area???

Check your map it mey be close enough to Boca to go there!
488.3I'd love the chance to just play #18. Need 3 doz balls...WORDS::NISKALAHEY! Wheeeeere's the snow?Wed Jan 04 1989 15:184
I think Doral is right outside of Miami, but I believe it is
a resort course, so you have to be either a member of the club
or staying at the Doral Resort as a guest which entitles you to
play the Blue Monster.
