Cape Cod isn't the only cape in Massachusetts, there's Cape Ann
which is fondly known to the locals as "the Other Cape"! There's
a few golf courses scattered around the confines of Cape Ann, but
my favorite has always been the Cape Ann Golf Course in Essex, MA.
note: Cape Ann doesn't get too much snow, and it's courses are
usually bare and playable thru New Years day!!! note: the Green
fees are alot cheaper than Cape Cod's fees, and you don't have
to wait for Tee times.
give Cape Ann a shot,
Bob

Sheesh! I was hoping to keep the Cape Ann course a secret ;^)
It's a sporty little 9-holer, with some really spectacular views
(coming from the 4th tee and fairway, especially). My wife and I
have played there a few times (usually combined with a trip to the
many antique "shoppes" in the area, and a stop at Woodman's). You're
certainly right about the greens fees, too. Maybe it's worth a trip
up there this weekend, if things warm up like they're supposed to
over the next couple of days!
