just pick a touring pro and go for it....! Come on...

| I'll stick my list in tomorrow. I've already got my response card
filled out and ready to mail in, from GD. I had thought about maybe
sticking Curtis' name for every tournament (he'd win a couple hopefully)
but that would absolutely eliminate me on ~90% of the rest. I do
remember picking Ken Green to win a couple back-to-back.

Chrysler Classic...
After Azinger three putted the 18th, there was a three way

7 strokes over second place finisher Chip Beck. Mark shot a

I think par on the 18th... (he also had an eagle putt on the
17th...!)

stroke over Sandy Lyle and two over Hale Irwin... If you
didn't hear Hale was lucky just to finish, he was hit with
a ball just above his eye during the pro-am. He had 16 stitches..!

on the 18th yesterday, he played it twice due to rain delays

everyone has a story or two.

the 17th veering at my head. I simply dropped flat it went over

473.33 | He deserved to win | SPMFG1::WELLSPEAK | Hope my little world will last... | Mon Mar 20 1989 10:59 | 10 |
| Yes, Kite played very well. On Sunday, every tee shot he hit
with a wood, found the fairway, except for one. That one, he hit
into a waste bunker on the right side. He proceeded to hit his
2nd shot from the waste bunker to a greenside pot bunker, where
he got up and down for his par and sand save. That 6 to 8 footer
for par on 16 really was a big putt. A great tournament, and I
thought the coverage was very good. Glad to see Nicklaus playing
on a Sunday again, even though he had a poor round.

And if Seve hadn't been so agressive (practicing for the Masters) and
put one ball out of bounds and the next one in the woods almost in
the same direction as the first one, and thus getting a double boggie
yesterday in the 13th hole, he would have tied for 1st with Sullivan.
WATCH OUT. SEVE'S HOT FOR THE MASTERS!!!

RE: .36
Tavo,
Just a little clarification. Seve didn't get a double boggie
on the 13th, he eagled the 13th birdied the 14th then got the
double boggie on the 15th. When he birdied the 14th it put
him in a four way tie for the lead... What a change of events
in three holes....!!!!!

Well, it came down to a playoff between the two top money
winners (up to the tourney) in the Nabisco Championship and
Tom Kite was victorious. Payne Stewart three putted the 18th
to drop from -9 to -8 and Kite birdied the 17th to go from
-7 to -8 to cause the playoff. The playoff went two holes,
each of them made par on the 16th and then Stewart boggied
the par 3 17th, missing a 4 footer. BTW, Payne shot a 29 on
the front 9 in the final round, birdied the first 5 holes and
made an eagle on one other hole on the front...!
Kite won $450,000 for his first place finish...
Here is the end of the season money list (top eleven, to get my
man Freddie in there)...
Tom Kite 1,395,278
Payne Stewart 1,201,301
Paul Azinger 951,649
Greg Norman 835,096
Mark Calcavecchia 807,741
Tim Simpson 761,597
Curtis Strange 752,587
Steve Jones 745,578
Chip Beck 694,087
Scott Hoch 670,680
Fred Couples 653,944
BTW, Jack was 129th on the list...
