Let me take this opportunity to congratulate Liselotte Neumann to her victory in the U.S Ladies' Open this weekend. Not only did she win in her first year on the LPGA tour, she did it with a record low score for the tournament as well. You can imagine the uproar it has caused over here - it even made Swedish TV show 20 MINUTES from the last round. Not live, of course, they aired it this evening, but what can you expect...? :-). They're learning - in 2088 we may even be able to watch the Masters... I'm quite convinced that You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet... -- Mr Litby

RE: .0 >> I'm quite convinced that You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet... Judging from the way she was knocking the pin down with everything but her caddy, I believe you may be on to something. The other thing that really impressed me was when she had a chance to loose the whole thing and didn't. I don't remember the hole, but she made a bogey after hitting a terrible shot from the fairway. Patty Sheehan made a birdie so there was a 2 shot swing, she came right back with a birdie. She's a real player! Somebody told me today that she is only 22 yrs old. If that's true is it a record? Believe it or not it is a professional record but an amateur in '68 or '69 was younger. |
