Does anyone out there know of any good golf weekend packages
in New England? I've found a few, but I would like to hear
first hand. I would like to keep the price to under $100/day
per person, and I really like scenic picturesque golf courses.
Thanks.

The Balsams is GREAT...
Lake Morey in Vt. is ok...
Mt. Ascutnee (sp.) has a good package, three courses to choose
from...
Killington is ok...
These are the ones that I have been to, if you have questions
on them please send me mail...

Call Sugarloaf Golf Course in Carrabasset Valley, Maine...I'm not
sure of the weekend prices, but if you want a VERY challenging course
that is picturesque, Sugarloaf is the one...
The number is <207>237-2000.. That's the Golf Course number...They
can tell you about package deals....

I'm more into picturesque golf courses that are in really
good shape than VERY challenging ones. I have an ego
to massage you know.
p.s. I broke 90 for the first time last weekend!!!

At Sugarloaf, the fairways are narrow, the roughs are 3-6 inch's
but all the greens are the same...
The only problem I had was losing balls....I use to slice (Ok,
so maybe I still do a little) and the woods are right there...Some
of the holes are absotuly buetiful...Number tweleve's tee is up
on a ridge, overlooking Carrabasset River (maybe 30 feet wide) to
a green with 2 bunkers. Par 3, 200 yards...
Sugarloaf is a really challenging course and fun.. It was rated
in the top 100 of the country by Golf Digest, and it's only been
open for about 3 years...
Try it, you'll like it...
