313.1Great job!NEXUS::GEIGERBubba, let me try!Wed Jun 29 1988 16:207
I am confused. Why is it called "DEC WEST" golf Cup? I thought
Springfield was east. But seriously, we have the southwest tournament
out here and they are fun to play in. I would like to see something
like east vs. west. (How about Agusta was a site?)

If the Augusta you're talking about is Augusta, Ga. count me
in, but if Augusta, Me. then nevermind. Pebble Beach wouldn't be
    bad either.......
313.3Hey, Hey... Now wait a minute!RANGLY::FREEMAN_KEVIThe Squeeky Wheel = NeglectThu Jun 30 1988 11:5112
(Read=Sounds of Thunder) And just what is so G#d awfull wrong with
Augusta Me. HEY JIM THEY'RE CALLING US NAMES! 8^) Have you played
the CC up here. It's not shabby! We have a Pebble Beach as well,
the Samoset Resort in Rockland. As well as the oldest Golf Resort
in the US of A, Polland Springs (though not in the best of shape
I'm told). CAN YOU BELIEVE IT JIM, nevermind, I smell a challenge
brewing here. 8^) 8^) Hey Keith say Hi to Kevin St.Thomas for me.
Have him splain the CC to ya if your not familiar with it.

Also how could our league up here partake in the next one?!

If I had the choice I'd rather play Augusta Ga, than Augusta Me.
It does have a better golfing reputation.

REF: The scores of the tourney...

How can anyone shoot net 55? Congrats to Chris Reed. Did he get
a bag of sand to go with his pull cart? I'd like to know the score
and the handicap. My member-guest is coming up and I need a strong
"horse" to help my ailing game.

    Joking along,
    Ken
313.6I'll still take Augusta National, thank you...WORDS::NISKALAIt takes balls to play bocceFri Jul 01 1988 11:397

Hey Kevin, or should I say Freebie??,

Kevin says to say hi and he'll be back in ASO next week. Sounds
like he'll be dragging you out on the course soon after he gets
    back. Hit 'em straight!
313.7Seems a little flakey to me. :-) :-)SA1794::WELLSPEAKCause you know that Time Fades AwayFri Jul 01 1988 14:518
I'd have to agree that anyone who can shoot a net 55, has to
be sand-bagging that handicap. Last year I *WON* a low net tourney
with a net 67!!! My 12 handicap, got a lot of glaring looks from
other golfers, when I shot a 79. I cannot imagine the looks this
guy got when he came in with a net 55!!! I too, would like to know
what the gross score and handicap actually was.

    DECWEST?

Funny but I don't remember the Western Mass Field Service/Sales
Office being invited to this tournament. I'm sure that we may very
well have walked away with the whole kit and caboodle. 8^)
