We played at Garrisons in Haverhill. It is not something that
they do on a regular basis. One of the leagues here at Salem
set it up, but I think somebody said that Garrisons was thinking
about doing it on a regular basis...

I didn't notice any bugs and I didn't hear anybody complain
about them. We all put on bus spray before we went out, but
we all know what good that does...

I wasn't bothered by the bugs at all! But I did worry about the
SKUNKS! You never know whats around the next green at 10:30 at
night.

| I'm thinking of organizing a tourney in the Washington D.C. area.
Great to see a notes file on night golf. It will probably be for
charity. Any interest from the MAA notes readers or other DEC Areas.

I used to play golf by moon light all summer long during high
school. I would play from 10 to 2 or 3 am on weekends. I knew the
course by heart and very rarely lost any balls. I can probably say
my best golf was played at night. I generally went right at the
pins and never was held up, which bothers me more than anything.
BAL par or better nothing more

I played in a night tournament this year in Gardner, and it was
fun. We played scramble format, so it was a little easier than
if we had played our own ball. I had a great time, no bugs and
I hit the ball well. What did you think of that ball, it sounds
weird when you hit it. One of the players I was playing with, knocked
the stick right out of the ball, need less to say he lost it. It
attracted alot of people so they are going to make it an annual
event.
I found the hardest part of it was putting, it is hard to putt
by a flashlight, and on dew soaked greens, but it didn't matter,
we had alot of fun.
