As a side note to this book, I have it, it was published in 1984
and prices/values/club entries are a bit out-dated. If you order
one and it is a newer version please post it here.

Percy Boomer: "On Learning Golf"
Has anyone read the book "On Learning Golf," by Percy Boomer?
I have seen it referenced in the Golf Digest article on David
Leadbetter, a hot teacher of PGA Tour stars.
Boomer is a British author and I'm not sure if the book has
had widespread distribution in the U.S.

I have read the book several times...EXCELLENT....
Our local library has a copy (that is where I fist read it)
and I purchased a copy at Fran Johnson's Nevada Bob's.
Many critics have it rated as one of the BEST ever written
on instructional golf.

I read this many (many!) years back, when I was first getting into
the game, and if I'd just stuck with it instead of devouring
everything ever written about golf, I'd probably be a better player
today. About all I remember was that one should turn as though one
were inside a barrel (to prevent swaying, lurching, etc). It is
truly one of the classics.
