If you wan't to see them, they are sold at Hermans World of Sports.
I bought one of the soft bags. Flown a few times with them, with
no problems. I also store my bag in it during the winter.

| I bought a travel bag from Austads. Great Quality, but not the
solid type, so if somebody would drop my clubs from a 2nd story
window, there might be some problem.

| I am going to be purchasing one soon too. I saw a real nice one
in Nevada Bob's for $110. It is real solid and looks like it could
protect my clubs. I think there are compartments for your shoes
too in this. I think it is made out of solid plastic. Looks pretty
sturdy. Try any Nevada Bob's (there's one on route 9 in Westboro,
one on Tremont St in Boston and one somewhere in Woburn as far as
I know).

| Mike,
I saw the one your talking about at Nevada Bob's, I tried picking
it up and would guess it weighs about ten pounds, adding the weight
of your clubs to this (I carry the full 14) and you end up with
one heavy mother to lug to and from airports. Also if your clubs
are extra long, as mine are, I would insure that they fit before
buying.

| Bill,
I finally bought the travel bag from Nevada Bob's. It weighs about
7 pounds and is not bad with a full set of clubs inside. However,
you are right about the extra long clubs. That could be a problem.
My clubs are "regular" length (if that's the right word). Now I'm
really psyched for Myrtle Beach.

| My father-in-law has a soft bag and two broken Ping woods compliments
of the airlines. Fortunately, the heads were ok and could be
reshafted. The experience (and cost) makes a hard case worthwhile.
By the way, the airlines give you 4 hours to find concealed damage
so it would behoove you to check your clubs immediately. In my f-i-l's
case, he discovered the problem on the first tee of his next round
of golf when the head of his driver came off with the head cover!
The airline said "tough luck" and wouldn't give him a nickle.
