124.0. "Visiting Nashua; Need Course" by DIXIE1::WESTCL (Gator Golfer) Thu Jul 02 1987 06:22

    I will be in Nashua, NH, from July 13-17 and plan to bring clubs.
     Need suggestions of courses nearby where I can pay greens fee and
    play. Any help will be appreciated. Prefer challenging courses,
    if available.

    	Try the Grean Meadows Golf Course in Hudson New Hampshire.
    	It is about a 15 minute drive from Nashua. They have two
    	courses.

    	Enjoy,

124.2 A few...MSEE::KELLEYThu Jul 02 1987 19:558

    Greenmeadow in Hudson, N.H. is a nice course. They have 36 holes,
    but it is real difficult to get out after 4:00 due to leagues during
    the week, tee times are needed on weekends. Charmingfare in Manchester,
    N.H. is also a good course, and Amherst C.C. in Amherst N.H.

    Hope this helps

124.3New Golf Course in NashuaBCSE::DTPTINKERTue Jul 07 1987 21:238
    A new course that has opened for public play is at the top of Spitbrook
    Road beyond the ZK DEC facility. All 18 holes are not complete
    yet (I think only 13 are finished and ready to play) but you may
    try that. The name is Skymeadow and the course is very up and down
    hill. Enjoy.

    Has anyone played at Skymeadow yet? Does anyone know anything about
    Skymeadow yet?

    Just wondering

    I've played it a couple of times and really like it. They have
    9 holes open; they aren't the eventual 1-9 but they play fine.
    The course's condition is excellent. Leagues don't play there so
    it was easy to get off on weekday afternoons. Cart is required.
     Price is a little high; $12 for 9 holes plus $10 for cart (per
    cart so could be split between two golfers).

    Many of the holes are very interesting but the most breathtaking
    one is a 230 yard (blue tees) par three with a 150 foot vertical
    drop so that it plays about 190-200 yards. Overlooks a meadow,
    pond, and valley ... beautiful view.  Course difficulty is moderate;
    some woods, quite a few traps, some water, fairly tough rough, etc.

    Definitely worth your time to give it a try.
