    Hello Everyone,

Working late tonite watching the reels on the tape drive go round
n round. A friend gave me a book of golf quotes so here are some
of the more amusing for you enjoyment.

"I dont say my game is bad; but if I grew tomatoes they'd come up
     sliced" -- Miller Barber

"Water holes are sacrificial waters where you make a steady gift
of your pride and your high priced balls" -- Tommy Bolt

"My best score is 103, but I've only been playing for 15 years"
     -- Alex Karras

"For most amateurs, the best wood in the bag is the pencil"
     -- Chi Chi Rodriguez

"There are two things that are not long for this world - dogs who
chase cars and golfers who chip for pars" -- Lee Trevino

"The older I get the better I used to be" -- Lee Trevino

"The first one is called "How to get the most distance out of
your shanks" and the second one is called "How to take the
correct stance on your fourth putt" -- Lee Trevino on his new books

"Eighteen holes of match play will teach you more about your foe
than 19 years of dealing with him across a desk" -- Dwight Eisenhower

"I shot a wild elephant 30 yards from me, and it didn't hit the
ground until it was at my feet. I wasn't a bit scared. But a four
foot putt scares me to death" -- Sam Snead

"You can talk to a fade but a hook won't listen" -- Lee Trevino

"Give me golf clubs, fresh air, and a beautiful partner, and you
can keep my golf clubs and the fresh air" -- Jack Benny

"Hey is this room out of bounds ?" -- Alex Karras to a startled
course employee after hitting of the first tee through a large
plate glass window in the clubhouse.

"When God wants to play through, you let him play through"
-- Lee Trevino after being struck by lightning during a
practice round at the 1972 PGA Championship.

That's all for now...If you would like to see more or have some
of your own thaen by all means note.

This quote was from Jack Nicklaus, to Corey Pavin, during the
3rd round at the Masters in Pavins 1st Masters appearence. Corey
had put his 2nd shot, on the par 5 15th or 16th hole, about 20 to
25 feet behind the pin. He studied the put for quite a while.
It was down hill and pretty fast, but he wanted to make eagle, so
he gave it a run. Corey hit the put, watched roll by the cup picking
up speed, roll of the green and into the water in front of the green.
As he walked by Nicklaus, with his mouth hung open, Nicklaus smiled
and said, "Welcome to Augusta!". Corey was putting for Eagle and
ended up with a double bogey.
