We have a customer who has purchased 3 8200 Dual ( 5/440)s and has
exprienced a problem where one of the systems ( a hot-standby ) was
visited by a service engineer and found that it failed over onto the
redundant power supply which was also going faulty ( hot ).
The customer has now ask if a console message is displayed when the
main power supply fails. If there is then we could monitor this and
take action when using console manager.
This question has been asked before, no replies, does this mean that
the answer is no ?? Is there any other way of monitoring the
powersupply status ?

After talking it through with one of console guys offline, it may be possible to get this to work. The only method seems to be to put the console into command mode >>> and then issue a 'show power' command and then resume the operating system. Jka [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
