1079.0. "Firmware Revision 0.0 Image failed Checksum" by KAOFS::M_COTE (Management Challenged) Wed Jan 29 1997 10:31
Would someone please explain the significance of REV K of
the KN7AA Module. The context of the question is with regards
to a statement within the "DEC 7000 & DEC 1000 AXP Version 0.A firmare"
Support for the rev K KN7AA is not available in
this version of LFU. The following error message is
displayed in the LFU banner:
ERROR: KN7AA Firmware Revision 0.0 Image failed checksum
The error message does not affect the functionality of
LFU for any adapter or KN7AA CPU except the rev K CPU
module. Attempts to update the rev K module will also
result in the error message and the update attempt
will fail, but will not affect the functionality
of the firmware in the rev K module. If this error
message is displayed following the update kn7aa*
command, notify your Digital service representative.

Should the module be replaced with another revision?
Thanks
