171.0. "Resto of CUDA in progress" by SSDEVO::DELMONICO (M_DelMonico "440's are forever") Wed Apr 03 1996 08:44
Back in dec of 93 I picked up a 72/3 340 CUDA to play with. It sat in the
garage until this February when I figured it was time to have fun. Engine
is at the machine shop, transmission to be dropped off at tranny place and
interior is completely gutted. Need to get car to car-wash and degrease the
engine bay, then it will be bead-blasted to accept new paint. This car is a
mystery to me. The vin, engine, trans numbers all match and state they are
1972 vintage. Fender tag, number stamped on radiator yoke say car is 1973.
During removel of interior, found build sheet under carpet which matches
vin. Go figure
Engine plans:
340 bored .030
MP 9.0:1 cast pistons
MP 761 cam [268/272 .450/.455 ]
Edlebrock Performer manifold with ? carb
windage tray
Heads - bowl cleanup/blending and harden seats
hi-volume oil pump
Car will be painted "metalic Garnet Red" and interior to come from Legendary
Will let you know how it turns out.

| Does it have the 5MPH bumpers on it? These will have large "bumper
pads" on them.If so, it is a '73.
