I'd like this topic to be used for tips and info on High RPM operation.
I've destroyed an LT-1 SB chevy at 8200 rpm because I lost the belts
off my engine due to the stock pullies. I was wondering if anyone
could recommend where I could buy deeper grooved pullies since I'm
starting to toss the belts off my 454 now.
Do dealers stock these, or would it be cheaper to call Summit or
Jegs?

GM sells the deep grove pullies..There are quite a few depending on
application..Get a copy of the Small Block Chey and Big block Chevy
performance catalogs for reference then just call your local dealer
and order them..The stock ones are not much good above 6000 rpm..Also
when you put them on be sure to use a belt gauge to set the tension
as this is "very" important in the high rpm's..
