The Ford Quality Care Nationals were here in Phoenix this weekend.
Saw a few national records..Corey Mac went 7.742 in top fuel.
al Hofmann went 301.1 for a new Funny car Speed record. Was an
all Mopar final in Pro Stock with Darrell Alderman and Scot Geoffrion
for the wayne County Dodge boys in the final..They qualified 1 and 2..
Corey Mac won T/F and Force F/C..
They had alot of new ford products there..Had alot of the celebrity
racing in new Mustang GT's..I know they were probably not the best
drivers but anyway the best time for any of them was a 15.8..
They also had the original Hemi Under Glass, he made a couple of runs
on Sunday going the full length of the strip wheelstanding..Sure
brought back some old memories..

sorry about that...It was Scott by 1 thousand of a second..scott ran
a 7.115 and Darrell ran a 7.115 scott's reaction time was a 421 to
Darrells 422..On the replay it was 8 inches..What a final...
The semi's had Kirt against Darrell..Kirt ran a 7.148 at 192.55 and
Darrell ran a 7.151 at 193.34, He got kirt by a hole shot..The other
semi was W.J. aagainst Scott..W J ran a 7.15 at 194.17 and Scott ran
a 7.14 at 193.71..
