2803.0. "Drum Map Translator Program (DOS)" by RGB::ROST (In search of Richard Sinclair) Mon Dec 30 1991 10:43
This arrived on USENET over the weekend. Seems this fellow is offering
to give away a program that converts the notes in a MIDI file for
whatever drum mapping you might like to use. FWIW.

Greeting,
A while ago, I asked around for a program to transfer a channel of MT32 drum
notes to a channel of SY22 drum notes in a MIDI file (like mapping all ch.10 to
ch.16 with notes been properly transfered). But, apparently, no ftp site has
such a program, at least no program on MS-DOS does it. Now, here it is.
MAPDRUM.PAS is a program written in PASCAL (Turbo Pascal) which transfers a
channel of drum notes to another channel of drum notes according to a mapping
file, MAPDRUM.MAP. In MAPDRUM.MAP, all notes with its corresponding notes
are specified. Therefore, you can change the mapping by creating your own
..MAP file.
If you would like to test (alpha test?) this program, please send your
e-mail address to [email protected]. I will send a uuencoded .zip file to
you.
Have a good day.
